We started off the visit with a trip to a local pumpkin patch and farm. The girls seemed to have fun. We wore the baby girls out so much that they slept on the car ride home. Here are some pics from that adventure:
The daddy's trying to navigate through the corn maze. Thank you Ms. Meredith for suggesting we just followed the well worn path (yes, we're cheaters!).
Petting a baby pony at the farm.
Rubber ducky water pump races.
The little girls playing in the cornbox. One rule - do not throw corn out of box. Clearly our girls have a penchant for disobeying the rules already. Uh-oh!!
Back at the house, we enjoyed ourselves equally. The daddy's took the girls to the zoo while the mommy's had a nice lunch. The kids played outside. The parents ate lots of food and stayed up way too late. It was worth it!!
The girls traced each other and colored in their bodies.
The weather held out and we had two lovely evenings to eat dinner outside on the deck.
Ms. Meredith made play dough and brought it for the girls. We've had lots of fun with it since the visit too.
Baby Kate enjoying a chocolate Bouchon. We baked them after the girls went to bed and indulged. They did not get to enjoy one until the next day. Needless to say, they didn't last long!
