As she sat down against a tree stump, one of the boisterous butterflies flew to her and pleaded with Kaitlyn to tell her what was the matter. Princess Kaitlyn told the butterfly that she wanted to pick some apples for her horse Coupa, but that the trees would not let her. The butterfly whispered something in Princess Kaitlyn's ear.
Princess Kaitlyn stood up with a big grin on her face. She started to climb the apple tree she sat against and said "tickle, tickle tree, please give some apples to me." It worked! The tree allowed Kaitlyn to pick it's apples. In no time, Princess Kaitlyn had a bushel full of apples for Coupa and herself. While Coupa enjoyed a snack, Princess Kaitlyn enjoyed some applesauce.

Princess Kaitlyn peeling and coring her apples. She had about twenty apples and worked up a sweat by the end. She did every one!
Princess Kaitlyn loved how the apple looked like a slinky after it was peeled and cored.
Princess Kaitlyn concentrating - she sticks her tongue out for her concentrating face.
Princess Kaitlyn added some nutmeg to her applesauce. See, there's the tongue again!
Princess Kaitlyn adding cinnamon to her applesauce.
Princess Kaitlyn's mommy apologizes, but I forgot to take a picture of the finished product. Princess Kaitlyn enjoyed this activity because she got to do it with her Pa, Gamma and mommy in Michigan.
